 hair loss problem

More and more clients hoping to restore their hair are looking into the Harvest Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) procedure. This procedure is increasing in popularity and is being used for various anti-aging benefits. Harvest PRP was originally used to achieve tremendous results for youthful skin and sports therapy, but now is also being used to treat hair loss.

How Does It Work?

The Harvest PRP treatment for hair restoration works by withdrawing some of your own blood as you would if you were having a routine blood test. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge twice and as the platelet-rich plasma separates, it is removed from the rest of the blood. This PRP is then specially prepared using a sterile medical apparatus that concentrates the platelets to six times the normal blood values. Then, the system eliminates particles that hurt tissue regeneration. Then the highly concentrated PRP is injected into the scalp with a meso-therapy gun. This micro needling technique is virtually painless, therefore there is no need for a local anesthesia to block the nerves of the scalp to prevent any pain. Once this is complete, the patient leaves without any assistance and is only requested to avoid washing the hair for at least four hours, or even better until the next morning. Patients do not require sedation or medication during the procedure, so they can go back to their normal activities.

What to Expect from Harvest PRP

• Eat lightly and drink fluids before your treatment.
• The treatment has a slight burning or tingling sensation that lasts for only a few seconds.
• First blood draw is drawn and several injections into the area are needed. There might be slight discomfort and minor bruising or swelling that will disappear in 24 to 48 hours.
• Results are seen gradually over 12 weeks so patience is required.
